Log a meal from chat
Say what you already ate. Skyler estimates calories and macros and shows a confirmation card. Nothing is saved until you tap Add to Diary.
“I had two scrambled eggs and toast”SmartEat AI agent
An in-app AI that can take actions - log a meal, pull last month’s numbers, remember you’re vegetarian, chart your week - not just answer nutrition trivia.
AGENT LAYERS
Skyler does not match keywords. She picks a tool for the job - then answers from what that tool actually returned.
Layer S
When you want something done in SmartEat, Skyler runs a tool: log a meal, open a chart, build a weight timeline, generate a one-day menu, or start a dietitian booking.
Tools
In the app
Site chat can answer general nutrition questions. In the SmartEat app, Skyler is wired to tools - she does the thing, then talks about the result.
The model chooses a named tool instead of matching keywords across ten languages. If a tool fails, the older keyword flow is still there as a fallback. She never claims she logged a meal, remembered a fact, or charted a week unless that tool actually ran.

“I had two scrambled eggs and toast”Today is always in context. Ask about last month, Tuesday, or protein lately - she fetches your own entries instead of restating today.
“How did last month go?”Calories, water, steps, streak, BMI, and BMR as cards in chat. “Show me my week” draws a chart. Longer ranges get a written readout.
“Show me my calories this week”Diet, allergies, training days, coaching style. Chat history still resets; these stay on your profile. Review or delete them under Profile → AI Features.
“I'm allergic to peanuts”A one-day menu in chat, a weight-change timeline with pace options, or a draft request for a certified nutritionist - when you actually want the action.
“I want to get down to 70 kg”Where a setting lives is read from current help topics, not from an old prompt. If nothing matches, she says so and points you to Support.
“How do I turn off water reminders?”Why it feels different
The same ChatGPT family you know - with SmartEat tools, your diary, and a live app manual in the loop.
She picks log food, get nutrition data, remember, or search help by name. That is why “I want to rate the app” opens the rating sheet instead of describing the App Store.
Meals, water, workouts, and weight come from what you logged. Days with nothing recorded stay “not logged” - she is instructed not to invent zeros or past step counts she does not have.
Meals need an Add tap. Memories need AI features on, and you can wipe them. Lasting facts never go in if you have switched AI data sharing off.
The full tool set needs a connection. On iOS 26 and newer Android, an on-device Skyler still answers from today’s snapshot and anything she already remembers.
Sample chat
Same plain language as before - but the reply is backed by a tool that actually ran.
I'm vegetarian - please remember that.
Saved. I'll skip meat in meal ideas from here on. You can delete that anytime under Profile → AI Features.
How did last month go?
You logged 22 of 31 days, averaging 1,840 kcal on logged days - 11 of those at or under your 2,000 target. Protein sat around 82g. Want a week-by-week split?
Log that I had two eggs and toast this morning.
Here's an estimate on a confirm card: about 320 kcal, 18g protein. Nothing hits your diary until you tap Add.
Example - in the app, Skyler uses your real diary, memories, and help topics.
Site chat is general Q&A. Logging, memory, and diary tools live in the app.
How the agent works
You do not name a mode. Skyler decides whether to act, fetch, remember, or just answer.
Where the agent lives
The tools that touch your diary, memories, and settings only run inside SmartEat. The website chat is for trying the voice.
The real agent - signed in, tied to your logs, allowed to take actions you confirm.

FAQ
Short answers for the questions people actually ask.
She uses a ChatGPT model, but the app wraps it as an agent. Every turn can call a SmartEat tool - log food, fetch your diary, remember a fact, look up help, show a chart - and she is told not to pretend a tool ran if it did not.
Site chat is a preview: general nutrition and product questions, no login required. Logging meals, reading your history, memory, charts, and bookings only exist in the iOS and Android apps.
The conversation thread still resets after a day of silence. Lasting facts - diet, allergy, routine, coaching preference - are stored on your profile when AI features are on. Open Profile → AI Features to see or delete them.
She is instructed not to. Unlogged days are treated as missing, not zero. Step history beyond today is not stored on the device, and she is told to say so rather than guess.
No. A meal estimate is a card you confirm. Memories require AI consent. Rating, booking, and upgrades only start when you clearly ask for that action.
